In Moving Averages when we say 14 period or 20 period MA, then does this period indicates seconds, minutes, hours or days?

It is based on Candle stick charts of time frame you have opened, example if i have opened 1 minute time frame chart and applied moving average of 20 period , then it is moving average of minute time frame.
