In pi software,while using scripted alerts, whats the difference between clicking enable alerts or go live? Also whenever go live is clicked there are no alerts generated

You have to click on enable alerts to get started, clicking on go live option doesn’t matter.

Then you can check for alerts in generated alerts window which is in Alerts menu.

If alerts are not showing up means either the condition is not satisfied or you are not doing it right.

Thank you for clarification on the two things. But i can see in the backtest, which i did after the closing hours that the conditions were satisfied and there were around 8 trades possibilities. but there was no alert generated during the trading session Ii will try it again on monday to confirm.
