Indexation benefit on equity LTCG

Hi, Equity LTCG is taxed at 10% above 1 Lakh profit. However, there is no benefit of indexation on the capital gains taxation. This is a big disadvantage and basically discourages long term investing. Can we start some kind of movement to ask the Finance ministry to provide indexation benefits on equity LTCG.

I don’t think this can be changed by any petition of sorts.

Yeah.

I think Siva is correct. But, there is no harm in giving a shot. When the world is silent, a small voice will be heard.
