Actually my query was that whether can I apply IPO through my wife’s sbi account but giving my demat detail. In that case both sbi account holders name and demat account Holder name will not match. Will there be any problem. I already applied IPO through my wifes sbi account but my demat details was given.

According to SBI FAQs:
A person can make upto 5 applications from a bank account using different names.
Hopefully it should go through, better to confirm with them once.

But HDFC doesnt allow:
