Is copy others trades legal in India?
Reason - My friend has margin issue on his account and my collateral is unused so can I copy his trades instead of giving access of my account. Is this legal and does kite connect api has this facility to automate this?

It’s not. Nithin had answered it here:
Copy trading isn’t allowed in India, at least automated copy trading. Any automated strategy that someone is selling needs to be approved, but if the strategy isn’t an Algo but human trading, it can’t be approved. So not possible.
If the person copying is manually copying and the main person charges a fee to display the trades, then the main person must be an RIA/RA.

No, that’s not what I meant. Will your friend show you the trades as he takes it? coz timing is everything.
