# Is it necessary to know formulas of Indicators?

Is it necessary to know formulas of various indicators, how it is calculated and Do I have to try to calculate manually for once ? OR only knowledge of what the indicator’s value is saying is enough ?

No need to calculate manually even for once. You just have to understand how the indicator is derived using the formula and how to apply the indicator in different mkt conditions.
