Is there a revision in Market Lot for Derivatives Contracts on Individual Stocks from May Expiry?

Yes, there is a revision in Market Lot for Derivatives Contracts on Individual Stocks from May expiry.

In pursuance of SEBI guidelines for periodic revision of lot sizes for derivative contracts, the market lots of derivative contracts shall be revised as below -

One. 13 stocks have its derivative contract size Revised Downwards effective from April 28th, 2017 (May expiry onwards).

Here, the new lot size is a multiple of the old lot size.

Two. 1 stock has its derivative contract Revised Downwards effective from April 28th, 2017 (July expiry onwards).

Here, the new lot size is not a multiple of the old lot size.

Three. 10 stocks have its derivative contract size Revised Upwards effective from April 28th, 2017 (July expiry onwards).

Here, the new lot size is not a multiple of the old lot size.

Four. 165 futures contracts have an unchanged contract size.

Important Note:

To avoid operational complexities, the following will be applicable:

  1. Only those lot sizes have been revised effective from May expiry where the new lot size is a multiple of the old lot size.
    For all lot sizes that are not multiples of the old lot size, the change will be effective only from July expiry.

  2. The day spread order book will not be applicable for the combination contract of June 2017 - July 2017 expiry.
