# Is TOTP mandatory for everybody from 30th sep 2022

Hi, I saw an article in support portal that it is mandatory to enable TOTP 2Factor login on your account before 30th Sep 2022, failing which, you will not be able to login to Kite. I never received any e-mail or notification regarding it, hence I am curious about it ?

Yes, with the rise in instances of cybercrime and fraud, exchanges have made it mandatory to enable TOTP 2Factor login on your account before 30th Sep 2022.
