Is transferring Mutual Funds and Stocks from one broker to another taxable?

Hello,

Just wanted to know, if I am transferring my mutual funds and stocks from one broker to another, will it be considered a transfer or redemption? If redemption, i will be applicable for Long Term tax payments. right?

If you are transferring to your account itself - it won’t be taxable

Redemption…yup

Will be taxed accordingly
