Leased Line for Trading

my question is can an individual have a leased line for connecting directly to the nse servers

I think it is possible, though would cost a bomb (like 5 Crores subscription fee or above).

However, given the past issues and co-location solution actively pursued by new NSE chairman, it may be difficult to gain access like this especially for individuals.

Remember, we are talking about milliseconds and microseconds. Only algo based trading can expect to benefit, that too if their bets are right (and legal!).
