If i go for long trade in nifty call and put at the same time will my margin blocked? How much? E.g. 7900PE, 8100 CE both long trade
When you buy options there is no margin blocked like when trading futures. You have to pay the entire premium upfront.
So if 7900 PE is at Rs 100 and 8100CE is at Rs 50, to buy 100 of 7900 PE you will will need 100 x 100 = Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 for 8100 CE.
