@nakul, can you also please reply for
INF204K01ZP3 - NIPPON INDIA MONEY MARKET FUND - DIRECT PLAN - GROWTH
INF846K01Q62 - AXIS MONEY MARKET FUND - DIRECT PLAN - GROWTH
Both of them were purchased via COIN, and both are in the eligible list provided by NSE
We donāt allow everything on the approved list to be pledged. The total quantity of each approved security that can be pledged is limited at the trading member level by the clearing corporation. Some securities have a very less quantity limit per trading member, hence we donāt accept such securities as collateral. Also, the ones which we find to be risky isnāt included.
We have to make a few changes in our system to allow pledging of these securities. Weāll try to have it added in our next monthly review of our approved securities. You can expect an update by the end of next week.
If there is no POA given and if shares are pledged, and positions are taken in FNO segment against those pledged stocks as collateral. In this case, if there is any loss in FNO segment and the FNO positions are squared off, what happens to the debit amount? Are you going to invoke the shares that have been pledged? If not, how are you going to recover the debit amount?
If you run into losses, your account balance will go in negative on which there will be interest charged at 0.05% per day. If you dont add funds then yes, your pledged shares will be sold to the extent of debit balance.
@Nakul @ShubhS9 hai sir , i try to pledge juniorbees in console it showing error of market limit reached , what is this means i am seeing new in the system , in future also i cannot pledge
The total quantity of each approved security that can be pledged is limited at the trading member level by the clearing corporation, that is why you are seeing the above error. More on this has been explained here.
Hi @ShubhS9 What is the maximum quantity of each approved security that can be pledged? Is there any list available?
This limit on quantities that can be pledged is set by Clearing Corporation on Trading Member level, once this limit is hit new pledge requests arenāt accepted in that particular scrip. You can check out this exchange notification which lists all the approved securitues and limit on Trading Member level.
Hi @ShubhS9. Thanks for providing the link. Have gone through the circular but I am still a bit ignorant to understand this.
āMember can deposit each security subject to maximum 25% of the cash equivalent assets of the memberā. What does this exactly mean? Can you please explain with an example?
Thank you.

@nakul can you consider these also!
Thereās an issue in allowing these bonds for pledging. The clearing corporation requires us to have 90% in liquid assets. This means that youāll also need to have 90% in cash of the margin required for your positions when you use collateral margin received from pledging corporate bonds. In other cases, this ratio is 50-50 i.e., out of the margin required at least 50% has to come in cash and liquid assets, and the remaining 50% can come in the form of equity collateral.
Hi @Nakul Thanks for adding the requested MFs to the eligible list of securities. But when I tried to pledge them today, both INF204K01ZP3 and INF846K01Q62 are still not getting the option of pledge. Can you please look into it?
PFA a screenshot.
Thanks
Checking this. Will update here in some time.
This was done sometime back. You should be able to pledge without any issues now.
