How will be the interest amount deduct- on daily/weekly basis (added to MTM) or when we square off the MTF position?

On the expiry day before the market opens physical delivery margin block will happen. If you have free cash after that you can buy MTF. But there wonā€™t be any margin benefit for this.
It will be net off by the end of the day if you bought MTF stock on expiry day and you have physically deliverable position.

It will be charged daily, based on the MTF ledger opening balance

am I getting it correct to my sense that MTM will not be calculated on profitable trades, which means if I borrow 3000ā‚¹ from Zerodha on a 4000ā‚¹ trade (1000ā‚¹ from my end) that if my trade goes into positive direction, I mean I am making profit than Zerodha isnā€™t going to charge interest on the profits Iā€™m gaining according to MTM but it is capped at 3,000ā‚¹ only?

The MTM is charged on loss-making investments, i.e., whenever your trade goes below the buy price. There is no MTM charge for profit-making investments. Interest is charged only on the 3K funded amount.

So once fund settlement is done as per guidelines every quarter, there will be shortage of margins/shortfall for existing MTF positions? Or zerodha will block the minimum margin required and release the surplus amount only? @siva

There wont br any interest charge on this trade. It will be considered as intraday trade.

Annually it is almost 15%. While most Mutual Funds give 15 to 20% return, you are earning 15% easily as interest So oneā€™s stock must move more than 15% to become profitable.

MTF is specially made for swing traders, and swing trades wonā€™t last more than a few weeks.
Iā€™ve been using MTF on FYERS until Zerodha activated my MTF.
