@siva any chances of extending margin pledge for mtf and delivery?
Will do for MTF in coming days, no plans of doing for delivery as of now.
so when converted the shares become unpledged? or are automatically pledged and added to my pledged margin?
What i mean is ideally i have the funds, so i want to convert from MTF to CNC, but dont want unpledge from MTF, then repledg. just want convert to CNC, and then give me margin i would get when i pledge shares.
When you convert MTF holdings, theyâre unpledged from MTF and made available as free quantities in demat to sell, pledge, or take any other action an investor wants. If you wish to get collateral margin, you can pledge them on Console.
Day1 I Purchase Stock A Quantity 500, price 500Rs (40k mymargin ,160000 zerodha Margin)
Day2 Price become 490. I will add funds 5000rs to maintain sufficient balance.
Day3 Price become 480. I will add funds 5000rs to maintain sufficient balance.
Day4 Price become 490. I want to exit Position even if i have sufficient balance.
My understanding is i will recieve 40k my initial margin because i already took loss on Day2.
Please Clarify.
Day 1: You bought 500 shares at 500 each, total comes to 250,000. With 5x leverage, your margin was 50,000, and we funded the remaining 200,000.
As the price dropped to 490 and then 480, you added 5K on Day 2 and another 5K on Day 3 to keep the margin requirement in check.
Day 4: Exited the position at 490. The sell value was 245,000. From this, we adjust our funded amount of 200,000, and the remaining 45,000 gets credited back to your account the next day. So yes, 5,000 loss on this trade, and 45,000 will be returned.
After exiting above MTF, On Day5 what is the total amount would be in my Balance.
Just to understand assume interest and charges as 0 in this case.
Please clarify.
Day 5: 45K opening balance.
(Assuming your balance was 0.)
I am asking full Balance amount after the whole process lets after Day7,assuming charges as 0.
Please understand the scenario and provide me proper understanding.
Whats the scenario you are trying to tell even I am not undertsanding whats there to get confused. You bought 500 quantity and sold it for a 5k loss at 490. Your balance will be 45k if it was 50k.
My investment 50k and then added 10k in next two days.Total my funds 60k.
I made a loss 5k,then my balance should be 55k right after the whole transaction.
Scenario looks easy but understanding whole process include logic.
Yes, if you add 10k in this case final balance will be 55k after 5k loss.
Thank you.
In Funds Statement,âInitial Margin Reversed for MTFâ will be 50k.
I want this Confirmation. Please Confirm the same.
Yes, it is correct.
Not allowed to do MTF for now, will allow in coming weeks.
Hi im using icici direct for pay later(MTF) since long time and there is an option in mtf position âADD MARGINâ is what if i purchase an share with mtf i,e 10000rs per share i used to pay 2500 and remaining funded by icici ,if i add margin as 2000 by a week to that position then my initial margin will be 4500 by this method adding more margin constineously atlast if i added my margin continues till 9500 and i convert that position into delivery by paying remaining money.
By this way we can buy large value share or higher qty and then convert into delivery of share by this method is that possible same in zerodha.
Not possible with us, if user has 100 quantity in MTF, they can convert 1 or 5 or any number to delivery at a time based on extra money available with them.
What is the logic behind for not allowing to buy the MTF position on the same day, same script if Sell position happened first.
Why cant it be considered as Intraday transaction??
can we expect relief from this restriction in coming days?
Yeah, we will do something about this in coming days.
