My COALINDIA option strike price changed suddenly today

I had a position on COALINDIA NOV 130CE but now position is showing COALINDIA NOV 122.5 CE
How can 130 CE change to 122.5 CE, does it have anything to do with dividend declared.

Yes its due to dividend declared.

Dividend being 5% or more than the closing price on the day of announcement is always subject to exact price adjustment and is called Extra Ordinary Dividend .

Does this happen to all stocks which declare dividend

only and only in case where dividend is 5% or more than the closing market price on the day of announcement /declaration as the case may be.

difference in ordinary and extraordinary dividend, ordinary and extraordinary shares?

Normal dividend is less than 5% ( no adjustment in cash or F&O) Extra ordinary Dividend is 5% or more ( as per closing price on the day of announcement in Both cases) …
Ordinary shares was a term used for TISCO (now tata steel ) during physical share era but to the best of my knowledge now all shares are EITHER equity shares or Preference shares .
