i want to take a job in a prop trading firm or a brokerage. Can someone let me know how i can apply for them??

Jagadeesh, unless you have a positive track record for atleast 1 to 2 years, it is tough to get into this business. The other option of getting hired is if you have done MBA from a fancy business school.

I know http://www.futuresfirst.com/ is hiring for traders in India, you can give them a shot, but is quite tough to get through.

If you are in Pune (or can relocate) try getting into capstone. This is a prop trading firm based in Pune, that allows traders to trade US Equities. They have daily ads on naukri.com. And hiring there is done almost daily, considering the attrition rate (most new traders fail).

I also believe, as Nithin mentioned, a previous positive track record is necessary to get into a job at prop trading.

I believe that the Zerodha’s Pi would provide such a platform to gain that kind of experience by exposing our own ExpertAdvisor’s(EA’s) to the interested ppl. I eagerly look forward for the Pi platform.

Apart from that on an individual level, u can say HANDSUP to ur present job. Try to manage ur own money for 6-12months and then u can re-think about it. Anyone who can manage one’s own success(money) can easily manage other’s!

Coincidentally I believe DE Shaw in Hyderabad is hiring. Apparently they want to setup a India focused prop shop.
