Lately, IV spikes have been hurting too much. If one is having a point based stop loss, I think strangles would hurt less compared to straddles. But, how does the profit of theta decay compare between the two ? Is that significantly higher in straddles compared to the risk if sl is hit in both ?
Apart from expiry day, if 10rs theta decay happens in straddle, how much approx it could be for strangle ? ATM straddles give more losses as delta gets difficult o manage and spikes faster compared to strangles.
