Many Brokers are Sending Mail that Account will be frozen if nominee is not added by 31 March 23. No mail from from Zerodha so far i checked… Will the zerodha trading account be frozen if not added?.. Also will our Coin Mutual fund holdings be redeemed when needed?
If i were to add nomination, both trading account and demat account nominee addition are same or separately to be done?

Hi @profit, we provide an option to add a nominee or opt-out at the time of account opening itself and the same is updated to the exchanges/depositors. Explained here: Why has the exchange or depository sent an email asking to add a nominee to the Zerodha account?
Your account will not be freezed if you don’t add a nominee. However, will recommend you add a nominee to make things simple in case of unforseen events.
You don’t have to do nomination seperately for both.
