NPS Tier II Taxability

What is the taxability for Short term and Long term gains from NPS Tier 2 Scheme??
As you know Tier II is like liquid fund.
So If I invest 100000 today and withdraw 1.1 lakh after 6 months what is the tax I have to pay?
What is long term horizon applicable for it?
Is indexation applicable to it??

Hi Athvik,

A NPS Tier II account works almost like a savings bank account with regard to taxation. The gains withdrawn shall be taxed at the marginal rate of tax as per your Income Tax slab. There is no indexation benefits available on it and no separate criteria based on long term or short term horizon for the taxation.

Wrong response… How can equities invested in Tier 2 be treated like FD interest?
