NSE, MCX in merger talks

Here’s an interesting story. According to this BS, NSE and MCS are in talks to merge their businesses.

What’s your view on this merger?

IMO, Its a matter of time all these small exchanges get eaten by the biggest shark in the industry. Same with every other business in any Industry.

BSE is not far from been taken over too, unless NSE decides to keep BSE on the sidelines for regulatory reasons to avoid monopoly compliance.

I am waiting for the day when Amazon starts their Own Exchanges, they are good at creating a cheap and fair ground for all market participants. Also, they might let you return your trades at the end of day if you don’t like it. just a thought.

From October month onwards NSE / BSE going to start Commodity trading on their platform , so its a logical move by MCX . Compare to MCX, NSE is far ahead of MCX in terms of Trading platform , but MCX is good in handling Physical/delivery of commodities , so its a good move both by MCX & NSE

Gr8 news! I was worrying abt the liquidity division in commodities between exchanges after Oct 2018.

From the regulatory point of view, it wud be interesting to know how Unlisted & Listed entities merge. Does it mean MCX gets unlisted or merger will happen after NSE gets listed!

One more silly reason to keep BSE would be the regulation which says exchange should not list it’s own share on it’s own exchange, for the same reason BSE share is not traded on BSE exchange.
