NSE to introduce F&O contracts on 4 securities

NSE will be introducing Futures and Options contracts on 4 additional securities w.e.f June 25, 2021. You can check the announcement here.

The information on lot size, option strikes, and freeze quantity of these securities will be made available on June 24, 2021, in a separate circular.

Instead of adding F&O contracts, NSE and SEBI should reduce the lot sizes of existing contracts, so as to increase liquidity and Hedging Power for retail investors.

And I’ve also heard that they are changing lot size for Nifty and are changing it from 75 to 50, is it true ? If yes, then when will it come into action and will we get any advantage from such changes ?

Yes. The lot size for monthly expiry F&O contracts for Nifty will be revised to 50 from July expiry onwards.

While the lot size for weekly expiry contracts will remain 75 and will be revised to 50 from August weekly expiry onwards.
