# offset more than -1 doesn't work?

hi, I read in previous posts that offset means the candle where 0 means current candle -1 or +1 is previous candle. I am trying to get previous 7th candle,  
15 mins Close(-7) lower than 15 mins Supertrend(30,6,-7)  
unfortunately it takes latest candle. Am i missing something here?
