On what basis SGB interest is calculated?

On what basis SGB interest is calculated ? Is it interest on current gold price or current SGB price or price of issuance of SGB ?

Hi,

As per the FAQs issued by RBI on SGBs (refer Question 14), the interest is computed on the “amount of initial investment”, by which I think, they mean the issue price for that particular series.
