I would like to know why cant one open an online BSDA account with Zerodha unlike other DP’s?
This happens automatically if you are eligible at the end of the year. I.e. have only one demat and the holding value falls within the prescribed slabs.
But by then Zerodha would have charged him/her Demat AMC ?
In that case will it be rolled back?

No, AMC is charged on a pro-rata basis at the end of the year. If you’re eligible for BSDA, AMC isn’t charged.
Because all eligible accounts are automatically converted to BSDA at the end of the year, no separate process is required.
