Option BUY getting triggered beforehand

I’m fairly new to buying options so forgive me if I’m making an obvious mistake and would appreciate any help or guidance as to where I’m going wrong.

Let me explain with my problem with an example.

Yesterday (October 22), I wanted to buy BANKNIFTY 22nd w OCT 24100 CE at 387. Now at the time of adding this in my watchlist, it was around 320.

I placed a SL order with both Trigger and Price at 387.

Now I noticed that when the order got executed, the CMP never reached 387. As a matter of fact, it didn’t reach 385 either. I saw the time when the order got executed and looked at the candle. It reached a HIGH of 383.1. But my order got executed, that too at 387, not at 383.1

It eventually reached 387 but around 2 min. later. No harm done, made profit from the call.

Is there something wrong with the trade I had placed? Does this happen to any of you?

You didn’t do anything wrong, this can happen when scrip is volatile. You can read this post, will clear your doubts.
