Say I have 1 crore equity and no cash. I pledged the equity and got margin of 85 lakhs. Can I take positions ( options selling & futures) worth 1.7 crore? will the remaining 85 lakhs be funded by zerodha @0.035% per day? or are there any additonal charges if I have margin shortfall daily? If no, that means I am borrowing 85 lakhs from zerodha for 12% interest per annum. Plz clarify
You can use only the pledged margin of 85 lakhs for your Futures and Options (F&O) trades, not 1.7 crores. Please note for F&O trading, you have to maintain your margin with a 50% cash and 50% non-cash , if you failed to maintain the margin , then Delayed Payment Charges (DPC) will be applied.
