As per Zerodha Varsity and Sensibull, it is anyways profitable to short options for safe and efficient trades. However, Zerodha does not provide for carrying short positions overnight.
I request Zerodha to kindly make provisions for carrying short positions overnight, so that we can derive the full benefits as educated by you.
If you have full margin i.e. you take NRML positions you will be allowed to carry overnight positions
You may be right, but the advantage of shorting is lost for the customer, as the capital required is exorbitantly high, and the profit ratio to the capital invested is very low. This may not be a practically viable solution. That is why I have requested Zerodha to provide us this option.
