The company should also not be dependant on other debt laden companies or discretionary spending but be based on essential spending with a wide base - for it to be insulated against macro trend.
Guys next support 22000 - 7 times take support in last 3 years , if its broke 20200 only we have a support
if 22000 break small and midcap fall severe
Even have no surprise if we hit 20 k also - this is called stagflation - next 5 years its will be like that
comment on Ndtv profit are all like this
Small cap and midcap are very risky guys now days - PB crash 40% in 3 days - dont buy stock
No doubt. What I meant was our existing interest rates will make sure we get positive returns from index over a long period of time. If interest rate are expected to rise most of the time it gets priced in unless there is sudden change. I believe we have already priced in a small hike in interest rates in the next policy.
As you mentioned interest rates are there for a reason. One of it being inflation. So they are all connected. Big companies pass on the cost to the consumer and even make super natural profit sometimes due to inflation.
One small example: steel companies made super natural profit post covid due to increase in steel prices. The old stock gets sold at higher prices. And if prices l drop, most often they don’t bring down the prices if they have existing stock. People get used to it. When gas prices increased many restaurants increased prices in menu. Then there was a small dip in gas prices and none of the restaurants brought the prices down. I have seen this with most of the companies.
So in my opinion inflation only leads to high absolute profits for big corporates. In real terms the purchasing power is lower. Interest rates are indirectly related to inflation. That’s why I concluded as to why interest rates give positive returns. I tried to keep it simple without getting into details.
Makes sense. However I’m not sure about the quantum of such profit or the sustainability of such profits to affect the pricing of the share. Or whether such profits are enough to offset rising interest rates from debt or automatic flows to debt or even the generalised slow down in economy. I see that there are too many factors to consider to arrive at whether it’ll be net gain or loss and the conventional wisdom may not always work in markets(Gold fall with last war for example). I think political instability also play a important role. The current party seems to be losing it’s grip and that “may be” affecting the markets or vice versa.
Tom gap up I think, but don’t know after that ![]()

Added more longs today.
No call buys. Although there is a chance October is big green candle, but I usually don’t buy positional options after a trending month.
And I go reverse again. Converted my naked calls into covered calls. ![]()
