Iran’s Tasnim news agency, citing an Iranian official, reported that the Strait of Hormuz will not return to pre-war conditions and that energy markets will remain unsettled, while insisting that no negotiations are under way with the United States.
According to Tasnim, the official also said US President Donald Trump had backed away from striking critical Iranian infrastructure under pressure from financial markets, adding that Tehran would continue defending itself until it had restored deterrence.
