Why zerodha kite shows as following -
In case of Index and Stock F&O, trader sees quantity as 75 / 150 / 225 and not as 1 / 2 / 3 (Lots) as in the case of currency derivatives where it is shown as 1 / 2 / 3 and not 1000 / 2000 / 3000. Even commodities reflect the quantity as (Lots) same as currency derivatives.
Any specific reason for this ? It leads to a bit confusion

The current method of displaying unit size is a lot more convenient.
The LOT size is different for different contracts.
You do not have to remember the lot size of each contract.
Having the lot size in front of you is a quicker way to calculate your risks and reward.
In Pi you have the option to display lots instead of lot sizes.
The primary reason is that the Exchange keeps changing the units for its own profitability. The same thing cannot be done in foreign exchange because everything is pegged to the fluctuations happening around the clock.
