I have a HDFC demat account which has become inactive.
Would it be sufficient for me to courier the rekyc and zerodha demat account opening forms, or is there anything additional that needs to be done at my end?

HI @Suri_J
if you wish to open a Demat account with Zerodha, You can directly open the account with us online.
If it is a typo and your existing Zerodha account is due for KYC, You can do Re-KYC online.
The rest of it is not necessary.
Hi @Meher_Smaran,
When trying to complete Re-KYC for NSE-Equity and NSE-F&O segments, I get this message:
“You have a non-Zerodha demat account linked. Please open a demat with Zerodha as mentioned here.”
I checked my KYC status on CVL KRA, and it says “NOT AVAILABLE.” Based on the support article, I understand I need to courier the KYC, Zerodha demat account opening form, and ILFS closure letter, but my demat is with HDFC Bank.
Additionally, I need to update my bank account and email address.
I’ve spoken to Zerodha support twice, and I received different instructions each time:
Can I simply open the demat account online, proceed with Re-KYC, and update my details? That would be much more convenient. Please confirm.
