Reliance Rights Issue & Dematerialized Rights Entitlement Trading

Your REs will lapse worthless if you don’t apply for the shares by June 3rd. The premium you’ve paid will be lost.

The RTA performs a check to see if the bank details are valid and belong to you. In case your bank account is accepted by the RTA, you may proceed with the application within their portal. If you’re getting an error saying the bank account can’t be accepted, you may use netbanking ASBA.

Hello Sir,

I purchased 80 shares of Reliance RE yesterday through Zerodha on May 29th. I didn’t go to KFin yesterday to purchase the shares and pay the initial installment yesterday. Instead I did that today on May 30 by selecting the renouncee option and transaction went through? Is that fine or have my RE shares already lapsed yesterday?

Hello ,
Please help me
I have purchased 5 Relience Right issue shares by mistake.
And I don’t have any other share in my demat account
I have recently opened my demat account in Zerodha and now I can not sell my 5 share from Zerodha kite app.
Want to what I have to do to sell these shares?
Please help me anyone
I am new in this

Its fine. The RIL RE trading has stopped yesterday but the application window is open till June 3rd.

@mohitmehra thanks for clarifying .

The trading window for the RIL REs has closed yesterday. You will need to apply for the shares by June 3rd. Otherwise the premium you’ve paid to acquire the REs will be wasted.

Thank you for the reply Mohit. Tried today but transaction failed. Tried 2 times like we did for the 14 REs beforehand. What could I have done wrong? Or do I have to check option of “I am renouncee and hold rights”?

Thank you Mohit.

Hi ,
I am facing issue while making the payment via Federal Bank-UPI which is linked to my Dmat account.
Note:Federal bank is not listed under net banking.
Any help is appreciated.

The third party validation can fail in case your name in the bank is misspelled or different. You can use any other bank account which you hold in your name. It need not be linked to your demat account.

This looks like just the payment has failed. Mostly this happens during UPI transactions. Perhaps you could try the payment again or try using a different bank account.

Hello, I have 145 shares or RIL, pledged. I was allotted 9 shares of RIL-RE and I was able to see them in my holding section of Kite. Today when I tried applying for the rights issue using the RE, I get a message saying “Not a Renouncee - Select Shareholder On Record Date”. Also, I dont see any holding now. But if I go to console, there I still see 9 shares with a dicrepency “These are the holdings for which we have not received a buy price. These may have come from transfers, corporate actions, IPOs etc. For us to compute the P&L properly for these entries, you need to manually add trades with the right values.”.

How do I proceed now? Should I simply select shareholder on record date or should I first get the holdings reflected in the holdings?

Thanks

You have to Apply for reliance shares at price of 314.25.

Thanks Mohit sir for your kind response,

One more thing I wanted to know that
I had buy only 5 share yet
Should I have to buy 10more shares to apply for right issue ?
What if I will not apply for the right issue till 3rd will it will the shares will go from my demat account?

@mohitmehra @VenuMadhav, similar issue. I have 50 Reliance shares pledged with Zerodha, I was credited with 3 RIL-RE shared. When I was applying for rights issue on https://rights.kfintech.com I selected renouncee option. After entering my DP Id and other details it says Holding as on Record Date - 0, No.of shares Entitled - 0.

I expected to see 3 here. Can you please suggest what I should do?

Hi @mohitmehra,
I recently started trading and by mistake i bought RIL-RE at 221 about 720 share on Mar 29th. Now I am not able to sell from angle broking account. If I don’t want RIGHTS what should I do (because I cannot leave money long time due to urgent needs to met)?

If it compulsory that o have take rights then what to do. Because kfin shows zero for “Holding as on Record date”

Please DM me…I wanted to speak with and get this clarified. Please brother help me

Thanks Mohit, I have applied for RIL shares in sbi demat account and got the REs in Zerodha. Will they be considered ? (2 separate demat accounts but one PAN number )
