Same State but More Stamp Duty Charges at Zerodha?

Hello,

We have an account with Zerodha, Upstox and Samco. In all these brokers, we have used the address for Himachal Pradesh.

When we trade at other brokers, we are charged a Stamp Duty of 0.005% of Rs.50, whichever is lesser.

Whereas as Zerodha, with the exact same address, we are charged Rs.50/Day flat.

We have cross verified with multiple brokers. I am also attaching the Upstox Contract Note.

Why is Zerodha Charging stamp duty charges more than all other brokers?

Zerodha Brokerage Calculator says - Rs.50/Day for Himachal Pradesh, whereas all other brokers, it is 0.005% or Rs.50 (Maximum) for Himachal Pradesh.

Thanks, But how are other brokers charging less stamp duty for the same state? If you want, I can send the contract notes of Zerodha and Other Brokers, which has our address (Himachal Pradesh) and Stamp Duty levied for the day written on it.

I’ve given you the basis of why we’re charging 50. Why another broker is charging differently, you should check with them.
