Thank you I can see some update is happiness in console , wish these will solve my secondary and primary demat issues(primary - while using view breakdown option showing secondary transaction) .
I have transferred 6 more stocks to secondary
I look forward to a complete rectification of my concerns , secondary demat is essential for my strategy …

Is there a reason zerodha did not use this CDSL feature for secondary demat account?

Or is Safekeep also the same as new demat account

The main reason to have secondary demat is to get benefits of taxing and to avoid FIFO way of calculation for taxes, this method won’t fix it as this comes under same demat.

Facing same type of issue after transferring shares . After transfer (more than 6 days ) its showing loss that also for huge amount (more than my investment) . transfer done on 2026-06-23

I am noticing that for all the shares i have transferred to secondary demat account are showing either STCG,LTCG profits in the P&L report that is generated for FY26.

Ideally the profit should be 0 as it is an intra transfer to my own demat accounts.

Can you please look into it.

Multiple users are complaining about

  • The average price issues
  • Tax issues
  • Performance curve
    There is no correct resolution rather than user by user changes when any one complaining (even thats also not resolving ). There should be permanent fix , this going to impact all user . I request kindly resolve all these before accepting more secondary demat . Kindly consider this as a still beta product , resolve all . Gave to new people so at-least let them get a better product and Enojy Zerodha offerings.

Sandeep, we’ve already fixed and resolved most of the complaints/issues on secondary buy average, and naturally, Tax reports are also corrected, as they’re connected pieces.

Performance curve fixes are next in line; hopefully, we will close them soon.

Also, we’re making it easy to onboard and transfer stocks between demats seamlessly. We’ll keep you posted.

I still feel secondary demat of Z is like a beta product which was launched without proper testing and even today i can pin point issues.

Anyways i have made up my mind to close the secondary demat once the upfront AMC fee is exhausted by opening a new demat with another broker where the service is reliable.

Had a session with support and they confirmed my PNL issue is an edge case and it will be fixed in the next release which i believe might happen by end of next year tax fiing season :slight_smile:

Sandeep, if holdings buy prices are fine, other reports will be alright. If you aren’t sure, please raise a ticket, and our team will check and clarify. Please DM, if you have any account specific doubts.

@TheGouda , thank you. Even the buy prices are fine ,When demat transfer is shown as sale then it may be an issue…
