While broker limits might not be applicable for pledging as highlighted by Meher, you need to consider the fact that the instrument might be moved out of pledge list all together. This has happened with G-sec where even though broker limits were not applicable, the instrument was removed from the pledge list (refer Mar 2024 comments on this post Pledged Stock Moving Out Of Pledge List - #25 by Prayag)
