Dear All, As per my limited understanding the SGB Bonds are available in secondary maket for trading after 5 years from date of issue. I do see code as SGB2016I and SBG20151. What does this code imply they were issued in 2016/2015 and now available for trading. At the same time I see Codes as SGB2025 does this mean the bonds were issued in 2010? Why do much of inconsistency in codes? Can someone please help with full table stating the issue date, listing date and maturity date along with codes. Or any link on zerodha which provides these details. @bhu ---

SGB naming scheme is simple, for example, take SGBSEP28 bond. ![image](https://tradingqna.com/uploads/default/original/3X/b/8/b85e60d0485fa72e718fc1753fe38897e74bc2c7.png) Here ‘SGB’ stands for Sovereign Gold Bond, ‘SEP’ is the month and ‘28’ is SGB’s maturity year. SGB’s mature after 8 years from the date of issuance, so the above mentioned bond ‘SGBSEP28’, was issued in September 2020 and will mature in September 2028. ShubhS9 - This is really cumbersome. Total 45 SGB series and codes I need to decipher!!! Please consider this an honest suggestion to streamline the codes. I think they should fully match with what is their on NSE. or it would be great if you can provide as I requested a table with **SGB Code, the issue date, listing date and maturity date.** specific to Zerodha. ---

Here is [NSE’s list](https://www.nseindia.com/market-data/sovereign-gold-bond) of all the SGB’s which have been issued to date with their trading symbols. You can refer to this list to search for the SGB you want on Kite. By looking at the month and maturity year in the symbol you can easily guess when these were issued, to see the listing date just click on any bond which will open the Stock Quote page, which will give you all the details, ---

And the problem will only grow as new series are launched. Currently Fundamentals for SGB show no information. ![image](https://tradingqna.com/uploads/default/original/3X/f/4/f4ca43ca933d27e68af245bab47497fb8d3002a3.png) More than a year back I had proposed if the fundamentals info can show details like name of series, when it was launched, when it would mature, interest credit history, upcoming interest credit dates (like dividend alerts), 52 week high low and the price performance graph like it shows for other stocks. These information would be quite handy in decision making. @nithin since you personally like SGB, could you please look it as unblocking another ‘Rodha’ off the investment journey. ---

tab, as @Tickertape doesn’t have that information in their database, is it possible to hide it from the dropdown for all such instruments (like Government Securities, Bonds, etc) rather than showing **Nothing in here, but me** message to the user? I think this has already been implemented for various Futures and Options as I noticed the Technicals option instead of the Fundamentals option present in the dropdown for all those instruments. ---

1. Interest will be deposited to your bank account automatically 2. Ideally it should. But all depends on demand supply on the stock market… There are 52 tranches of them… Not all of them are super liquid… ---
