Can i hold stocks for 2-3 days in short selling?
Short Selling Equity stocks for positional trades are not possible.
The only way to short sell stock overnight is by shorting futures or buying put option (or selling a call option, of course with proper hedging). But yes, shorting overnight in the cash segment is not allowed.
There are only 200 odd stocks in the futures & options segment so shorting for swing/positional trading can only be done in those stocks.
