This happened with me 3 times today:
I used Limit buy order with a price difference of minimum Rs. 5 with the CMP and the order was sent as market order. All the options were correct and I double checked.
Has this happened with anybody else also?
Happens if your buy price was above CMP. Limit orders are designed to give you the best price, so lower than market for buy or higher than market doe sell. If you want to buy above or sell below market, use SL/SLM orders. Limit orders will execute at the market price in these conditions.
