SGB can be purchased on Zerodha using https://zerodha.com/gold/. How to buy/sell in ad-hoc manner as we do stocks? Can we pledge SGB for margin in derivatives section. If yes, how much is the hair cut?

Currently, you are not allowed to buy SGBs(can still sell if you hold SGBs) from the secondary market due to an issue with inter depository transfers of government securities. We will start allowing buying and selling of the first week of December.

Yes, we plan on allowing SGBs to be pledged for collateral margins.
