Stock Exchange timings for regular orders and AMOs on holidays

Hi to all,

I want to know if NSE/BSE operates on Saturday (which happens to be a public holiday) as usual as per normal timings i.e. 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM for live trading.

I understand that AMO (After Market Order) could be placed only between 6:30 PM to 9:15 AM next day on all market segments. I want to know if two consecutive holidays fall on Saturday (being a public holiday) and Sunday, can one be allowed to place after market order (AMO) anytime from 6:30 PM of Friday and 9:15 AM of Monday. How and when such AMOs will get executed when the exchange re-opens?

I shall be grateful if someone could explain with clarifications on the above-mentioned points at the earliest.

AMO facilitates you to place an order after market hours, ie anytime between 3.30PM (after market closing) till the next market hour starts.

AMOs are saved at brokers end so exchange timings are not related, once market opens member will release all those AMOs as regular orders to exchange.
Check this to know more about AMOs.
