Stock/Mutual Fund sell and buy

Suppose I buy a Stock/Mutual Fund worth 10k. 2 months after it becomes 12k.
Now If I sell the total holding and invest 12k on different stock/mutual fund, do I have to pay short term capital gain tax on Rs 2k proit ?

Yes and don’t forget to note that there will be 1% exit load for short term (in case of MF).
