Did change in market captilization of a stock is proportional to the change in price or there are some other factors included.
Market Capitalization = Market Price * No of Shares outstanding.
As No of shares are constant Market capitalization increases/decreases in the same proportion as Market price.
Only exception to this rule is when the No of shares change (for eg Split, Bonus etc)
