When someone sells off some of the shares, it still shows up in Open Positions. This leads to more confusion. Anyone seeing this would assume an additional ‘Sell’ order has been placed somehow and would try to Square Off which would incur brokerage charge (if any) + unnecessary SEBI charges. At the end of the day, we see that while we sold of some shares, we have purchased the same quantity. Basically, when you try to trigger the square off from Open Position, you actually trigger a ‘Buy’ call at the stated price. I experienced this. This time, I have kept it as is, in Open Positions. Hopefully, it’ll get cleared at the end of the day.
Please fix this. This happens in Kite as well as in Pi. Day’s History is fine.
