How to escape from gap down critical condition. if i have to place stoploss daily, then i will have definitely incurred loss, in gap down opening. i will not have enough time to place stop loss. please reply
This is the risk the market brings along with it. If a stock opens gap down, then a stoploss will not help in this case because the price falls in pre-market and opens gap down and stoploss orders cannot be placed in pre-market.
Also, what is the time span for which you intend to hold the shares? The markets are famous for triggering stoplosses and then recovering or even falling and then recovering. But if you are uncomfortable with the price, then you should consider selling out your shares after market opens at 9.15am or place an appropriate stoploss.
