I have just read in 'the Hindi business lines" dated 30july 2020 that pledging will cost much more as quoted: “as per the tariff card, clients will have to bear a burden of ₹50 per scrip up to a value of ₹1 lakh shares pledged . Above this, the transaction per scrip will attract 0.5 per cent cost of value of shares.”
Is this true?? This will be a substantial cost increase.

Thanks for the reply but i have read that already, but it the news from “the Hindu business lines” that has scared me, i m fine with the current charges.
I hope to get a response from team zerodha too, to debunk my fear.

Cost will be rally high as If I pledge 5lakh worth of shares it cost me 2500/- (0.5% value).
Even if it is 50/- for first 1 lakh + 2000/- for rem 4lakh.

all rumors - its not possible , zerodha never confirm that one ,

When the new pledge system starts at Zerodha? I had assumed that it will be from 1st Aug and I initiated the process on 1st Aug however no cdsl link or OTP but today on 3rd Aug message received that shares have been debited.
Pls clarify.

Most likely from next monday, some issues with CDSL Apis, till that time old system will work.
And that 2500 will be every quarter, as every quater account is settled, firstly i hate this quarterly settling, needlessly increase cost 4 times.
What is the status please.
