T+1 Stocks on Positions page

I purchased some quantities of share A on Friday (17th Nov) CNC and sold it today (20th Nov) again in CNC
In positions screen it is showing as negative and not as zero. Why is it so? Shouldn’t it be zero as it CNC trade?
Pls help me understand.

Think about it, you sell a stock using CNC from your holdings. The system only looks at this as a sell trade and shows it as a sell position in your positions page. The system does not know whether you are going to buy the position back or not.

If you buy the position back, then this will be considered as an intraday trade and the P&L in your positions page will be your intraday profit/loss. If you just keep the sell position as it is till 3.30pm, then the system understands that you sold shares from your holdings and it will only consider your selling price and ignore the changing P&L in the positions page.

once u sell from ur holdings it reflects as -ve quantity in position so all u can ignore it and wait till the end of the day when u see it next day it wont be in ur position. never exit from the position once u sold it from ur holdings .
