Is Divided received more then 10,000 taxed as per tax slab. Or is it standard across tax slabs.
Up to FY 2019-20, Dividend received from a Domestic Company was taxable only in excess of INR 10 lacs. However, under Budget 2020, DDT (Dividend Distribution Tax) was abolished and so dividends became a taxable income. FY 2020-21 onwards, Dividend is taxable at slab rates as per the Income Tax Act irrespective of the amount.
