I am a FnO trader who is using 2 rooms as a trading room in a 4 BHK bunglow. Remaining two rooms are used as bedroom by myself and my parents. This is a rented property and agreement is in the name of both me and my father. My father is paying the rent to landlord right now.
My question is:

Can i claim 50% of this rent amount as deduction in ITR3 since 2 rooms are being used for my trading purpose.

The fact that my father is paying the rent and not me, will it be a problem? My father is not claiming any deduction.
