In general, we have roughly under 20 minutes target for the Daily Brief. We don’t target length/word count, etc. Nothing ruins good writing faster than that. Sometimes, it takes as many words to explain things as it takes.
Fully agree on the “quantity” aspect. In fact, we are doing a lot less than I otherwise would’ve wanted to The gap between the number of things (insightful things) I want to do and end up doing is vast
Two different things. The daily brief is to “explain” the important stories and add our commentary. Chatter is just a filtered selection of management comments that we think are insightful, with no commentary or anything.
The reason we started is we personally found some of those comments useful in understanding what’s happening at both a macro and micro level. So I figured others might find it useful as well.
Either way, it’s a post, so don’t think it matters much.
