I have a question do all of u use the same default value for all the charts like if using rsi then the default value is 14 so should I change it to 30 if I’m looking at monthly chart to 15 if I’m looking at the weekly chart etc. or should I keep it same and I’m asking this for all the indicators that we use . Can any one please tell me about it?
I keep most of them at the default settings. I’ve tried tweaking them for different timeframes, but honestly it just gave me different signals and more confusion. Unless you’ve tested it yourself, I’d stick to the defaults.
If you understand the maths behind the indicator, then you can customise it. For most people, default values will work.
